  • What are your hours of operation?

We are open 7 days a week all year round from sun up to sun down.

  • What type of events do you do?

We specialize in children’s parties but we also do corporate gatherings, school, daycare, family reunions, festivals, fundraisers, camps, weddings, grand openings and more.

  • How early should I schedule HDR Animals relative to the event date?

Please schedule your event at least 3 weeks before your event date, otherwise we can’t guarantee to have baby chicks available for the event.

  • How much space is needed for the petting zoo?

We require a level, flat space that is 20 feet by 40 feet in order to set up our secured pen for the HDR Animals petting zoo.

  • Is there a deposit?

Yes, we require a non-refundable booking fee of $150 in order to finalize your reservation with HDR Animals.

  • When and how do I pay for HDR Animals?

The booking fee must be paid when you secure your event date using credit, money order, check or PayPal. The final sum must be paid on or before event date. Final sum payments made before event date can be done using credit, money order, check or PayPal. Final sum payments made on event date must be done using credit card only.

  • Does the $395 cover all expenses?

Unfortunately no, we will also be charging a 58¢ per mile round trip. This is the 2019 IRS travel transfer rate for automotive travel.

  • How far will you travel?

HDR Animals will travel within California approximately 100 miles from Dixon, CA.

  • Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully insured and can provide detailed information to you upon request.

  • Are you licensed for a petting zoo?

Yes we are. HDR Animals LLC is a California corporation with USDA licensed animals.

  • What is your bad weather policy?

If the weather on the day you have scheduled is not conducive for a petting zoo we can reschedule the date. If weather turns bad during the event itself the event will be considered completed.

  • Do you provide cleanup after the event?

Yes, we will provide cleanup after the event has finished.

  • Is setup and cleanup part of the allotted 90 min?

No, setup and cleanup will be done before and after your 90 min petting zoo event.

  • Do you accept special requests?

Yes we do. If you have something else in mind like extending the event or adding more animals to the event let us know and we will see what we can do.

  • Can we ride on any of the HDR Animals?

Unfortunately no, at this time we don't allow any of the HDR Animals to be ridden.

  • Should I wash my hands before and after touching the HDR Animals?

Yes.  One of our top priorities is caring for the health of our animals and our clients. We will provide a sanitizing station and require that before anyone touches our animals they sanitize their shoes and hands and we recommend they do the same when they are done interacting with our animals.
